0. INSTALL.EXE to backup your tracks
unzip ABCD11.ZIP TO your ..gt97/DATA directory start INSTALL.EXE to save all your tracks and prepare for editing
1. CHANGE HORIZONT
With file a.exe you can change the background of the track - the far peusage-horizont. You can take the mountains of canada and put in the hot egypt or take storm sky of england and put it in usa what you whish �he way is simple:
start �.exe you will be prompted for counttry of your track,choose from 1 to 9 after choosing will apear the 3 files of this country
[1]--???1_H.SBI [2]--???2_H.SBI [3]--???2_M.SBI
see upper i alredy explained , ???- the first tree initials of country
choose one, after that will be prompted for choosin horizont:
choose from 1 to 9 for example
1- FONCANA.spr the horizont for canada -mountains
2- FONBREZ.spr the horizont for brasilia -two hills
3- FONGB.spr the horizont for GREAT BRITAN dark sky before rain
..etc
THATS'ALL
2. CHANGE OBSTACLES AROUND TRACK
With file b.exe you can change the obstacles around the track, this have a bug i can't fixed it's programing code in game. When you raplace the obstacles, they are put in the place of other. But suppose that in some cases the obstacles which you want, not have the same addres, or much more than exist and this will cause to crash,
Now with this file b.exe you can take the brasilian trees and put them in Egypt really amazing. You can experiment what you wish. The bug is this that some changes will not work, you can play the game but somewhere in some place will be interrputed, kicked from game, sorry. try something else. If nothing work than return the original obstacles for track country. the another bug is that the obstacles in some changes (not ever) will be very big, big cow 10 meter or something else. It's fun. But i don't like it. Okey Just put brasil obstacles in egypt track and you'll see very,very nice.
How work b.exe:
start b.exe , you'll be propted for the country of track from 1 to 9 see what i explain up
choose your country
after that there will apear this,if the country was EGYP
[1]--EGY1.CBI [2]--EGY2.CBI
choose [1] or [2], first circuit or second circuit.
First circuit is for amateur and master level of track you want modify. second circuit is another track on master level (for these who don't know) choose one
afterthat you will be prompted for the country obstacles you want put in your track. For example:
1.SPRIGER.SPR i'not remeber
2.SPRIFRA.SPR just trees,and cows
3.SPRISCA.SPR winter trees, youse these when you want winter
.SPRIBREZ.SPR palms and tropic trees
..etc
THAT'S ALL
THE CONCLUSION: TRY IT, NOTHING LOSE, if not work return the original settings for track(for *.cbi files), for *.sbi make a backup before edit more changes work, there is few problem tracks
3. CHANGE OBSTACLES AND TRAFFIC
You can change the way obstacles and trafiic with c.exe. The change make more new track , by copying the trafic and track obstacles from another track. This mean that you can copy track surroinding from 3 levels:
Level 1-amatuor,first circuit
level 2 -master,first circuit
level 3-the second circuit -master.
FOR EXAMPLE: If you bored from the big traffic in two directions from the second track(winter) of scandinave, you can take the traffic from the first track scandinave, which is file sca2_m.sbi, and copy to to sca1_h.sbi which is the second track of scandinave by this way: start file c.exe
you will be prompted for country of track you want modify, also included and some bonus tracks(as pinball,cyber...)to choose from 1 to a
1.CANADA
2.FRANCE
3.GERMANY
4.BRASIL
5.ENGLAND
6.SCANDINEVE
7.BONUS
for our case choose 7-SCANDINAVE after choosing you will see 3 files for example
[1]--SCA1_H.SBI [2]--SCA2_H.SBI [3]SCA2_M.SBI
[1]. mean the master level for track scandinave
[2]. mean the master level for second track scandinave
[3]. mean the amateur level for track scandinave
now choose 2
after that by the same way you'll prompted again for choosing country for track but now fot this track which you want take the trafiic and obstacles choose again "7" -SCANDINAVE
choose 3 (you want the small trafick/amateur level)
THAT'S ALL
The bug may ocure(you play the game but somewhere crash, you'll kicked form game) For exmaple evry time evry change on usa track will cause to crash your game. The problem is that ,that you can't know this before use it. You'll find the crashesh, there no so many as the different which you'll make with my free software Try!! there is so many different traffics.
The solution here is to return the original settings or try something else in process of changing you'll see what work and what not, Remeber the change of traffic and obstacles on way make a different way for driving on the same track as curvature.
The changing of traffic replace also and checkpoints. On some tracks, this will cause to can't finish, becouse you'll not have time. Edit with d.exe CHECKPOINTS which you wish, also and speed of the another cars(see down) as you whish
4. EDIT CHECKPOINTS AND SPEED OF OTHER CARS file d.exe
You must careful, all in game is very precius, there is some calculating when you put very big number in some chekpoints from 1-7, the eight checkpoint will make some calculation calculate if the number is more than some value, this will case to substract some seconds, in most cases You'll no have a time to finish. I recomended if you wanna increase time for passing track with 20sec. divide these 20 seconds on all checkpoint, You can edit all checkpoints, WARNING Also must know that editing of last 2 checkpoints will cause to crash in most cases, so if is really necessary try with them!!!
if you reach them when you playing game and there was maded calculation or checkpoint not fuincion, just pass throw it. Increase the value of chekpoints before last two, this will give you a time altough the last 2 chekpoints will not add seconds, even can decrese.
HOW TO EDIT:
start d.exe, the buttons are 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,S
from 1 to 9 -CHECKPOINTS choose one to edit
press "0" to edit speed of other cars
press "S" to save your work and exit be shure that CAPS LOCK IS ON before pess "S"
press "CTRL+C" to cancel
after pressed one of the above use "+","-" to increse,decrese value the numbers are in hexdecimal that mean
0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20..etc decimal 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0A,0B,0C,0D,0E,0F,10,11,12,13,14..etc hexdecimal just use "+" and "-" to increse or decrese value.
5. SOME EXAMPLES OF MODIFED TRACKS
challange.zip include all original tracks ( i just change the chekpoint time and speed of oponent racing cars to have more great challange). UNZIP THIS IN YOUR GT97 DIRECTORY "DATA" delete all files with suffix *.SBI. And copy these and your time will not finish in the middle of race
Also i include some examples for amateur track (???2_M.sbi files, 8 pices) and master -first circuit(???1_H.SBI files 7 pices) . MODIFY.ZIP. UNZIP THIS IN YOUR GT97 DIRECTORY "DATA" but before that, must save your original tracks -start install.exe

6. WARRANTY,SUGGESTIONS ,ERRORS
WARNING YOU CAN EDIT WITH THESE FILE JUST AMATEUR , MASTER(circuit1) & MASTER (circuit2) tracks you can't edit beginer. I forgot it, sorry
WHEN YOU USE THESE :MAKE SOME MIX WITH A.EXE , B.EXE AND C.EXE, AWESOME. I RECOMENDED WHEN YOU MODIFY TRACKS WITH FILES c.exe and b.exe to make only one opration, start gt97.exe to see does will work or not and after that make another change, becouse if you make few changes and game crash you'll not know does obstacles cause to crash or traffic or both.

IF YOU OCURE "!!! CAN'T OPEN FILE !!! that mean that the file *.sbi(for a.exe , c.exe , d.exe) *.cbi(for b.exe) not found
1. make shure that you inziped ABCD11.ZIP to gt97\DATA directory
2. start install.exe
in directory DATA of GT97, or where consist all *.sbi *.cbi files, for example d:\games\gt97\data, also this error may ocure when the files are marked read only, clear attributes of all files(*.cbi,*.sbi) before that
also when you modify obstacles on egypt track with file b.exe. Know that egypte1.cbi is exchanged with egypte2.cbi this mean that egypte2.cbi is for circuit 1, and egypte1.cbi is for circuit 2 !!DONT MAKE ANY CHANGES FOR TRACK USA, IN MOST CASES CRASH!!
