Sandy: In the future, I encourage you to arrange a meeting, or telephone discussion before you make such wide-ranging accusations. With the exception of the amount of the increase - your letter does not appear to reflect any facts. There will be a letter and budget explanation arriving tomorrow or Friday, with your dues notice, that should provide some answers to your questions with regard to the budget, the goals of this Board and some things we are initiating to improve communication, including the Kings Grant web site - where we have chosen to post everything sent to the Board - including your email.
I guess I understand how a member might be confused, even upset, if he/she heard in passing that the board is raising dues. Unfortunately, we could only get the letters out as fast as we did and are making every attempt to be fair, open and responsible. After you receive your letter, please contact me and I will be glad to go through the details with you.
Sandy, you are welcome to disagree, even strongly - however, do not make this personal as it is neither warranted, justified and will in no way be tolerated. If you wish to voice your concern of the facts, I encourage you to do so at the next Board meeting in August and in the membership meeting in October. I am warning you however, if I receive another email from you that personally threaten me, my family, or my friends without regard for the facts - I will make this debate with you very personal indeed.
Feel free to have your attorney contact me and I will be very cooperative with him and provide whatever information he may require - he may phone me at home. In addition, please provide me with your contact / case# at the State Corporation Commission and I will contact them on Friday.
I will be back in town on Friday and would be willing to discuss the issue with you and the other concerned members that you mention in your email. I will also have this response posted on the Internet with your original email.Sincerely, Neil Darling President, KGHOA |
