Mission:
The mission of the Rules Committee is to develop recommendations for the Board
of Directors and the Membership for rules, by-laws, and covenants to govern the
affairs of the Association in a fair, clear, and reasonable manner. Objectives:
1)
Thoroughly research issues committed to the Committee 2)
Develop specific language for rules, by-laws, and covenants 3)
Communicate the work of the Committee effectively to the Board or
Membership as appropriate Tasking:
The Committee will work issues: 1)
Committed by vote of the Board of Directors 2)
Assigned by an agenda or work plan approved by the BOD 3)
Assigned by the President of the Board of Directors 4)
Committed by vote of the Membership at a Membership meeting Membership:
The rules committee shall be a “Standing” Committee whose Chairman shall be
a Director of the Board of Directors. The membership shall be made up of
volunteers selected by the Chairman and without objection by the Board of
Directors. Activity: Activities of the Committee, including meetings, communications, drafts, comments, etc., shall be open to any member of the Association. Work Plan for the Rules Committee Work Completion Date

Report of the Rules Committee to the Board of Directors – 8/31/2001 1) The Committee was formed by vote of the Board on July 28, 2001 with Secretary, Marcus C. Thomas selected as Chairman. 2) Membership was initially made up of: a. Marcus Thomas, Chairman b. Van Perroy c. Cecelia Barton d. Kim Woolner 3) The Committee established a communications channel at Yahoogroups http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/kghoarules. 4) The Committee developed and approved a Workplan 5) The Committee developed and approved a rule for “Collection of Dues, Fees, Fines, and other Charges” 6) The Committee developed and approved a rule for “Adoption and Enforcement of the Rules” 7) The Chairman will submit these three documents for BOD approval today. |
