Dear Mr. Darling:

Thank you for you visit Saturday evening the 21st of July, 2001 informing me of my write-in selection as a member of the Kings Grant Homeowners Association Board of Directors.

I am both honored and humbled by this action of my fellow homeowners. I neither solicited any votes nor expressed any desire to serve during the upcoming year as a member of the KGHOA Board.

Therefore, I decline the opportunity to serve at this time. My wife and I moved to Kings Grant in November 2000. We have met few of our neighbors and while we truly enjoy the community we have much to do on our property. I do not have sufficient knowledge of either the community or the issues concerning all of the membership to comfortably serve at this time. There may be a time in future years where either my wife or I would desire to serve as a member of the Board.

For the present we do offer our services to assist the Board and our fellow members in other volunteer ways if they present themselves.
