The Messiah was crucified on Passover and buried on
the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Passover is the
14th day of Abib (Nisan).
- "And on the fifteenth day of the same month is
the feast of unleavened bread unto the
L-RD..." (Leviticus 23:6)
- "And now when the evening was come..Joseph of
Arimathea...went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved
the body of Jesus...And he bought fine linen, and
wrapped Him in the linen, and laid Him in a sepulchre
which was hewn out of rock, and rolled a stone unto
the door of the sepulchre." (Mark 15:42-46)
(Remember how during the Passover seder the
unleavened breadis placed in a linen cloth and
"buried"?)
And now the good news of the Feast of First Fruits.
