What Else?

The sun, the moon, the stars--
who can write a poem without these?

The wind, the leaves, the rain --
clouds and mist
and skies without them.
Trees and fields
and grass and bloom,
rivers and forests and mountains.

Certain kinds of animals,
like wild geese,
not others. No ducks allowed.

It's time, really, finally, that's all-
Time and movement and memory.
