And despair would begin there, if I were the only power, sole changer of things. But hope is in understanding my own limitations-- I cannot change the world. I cannot even change myself. There is Another, greater changer and hope is in understanding the power He brings. This Greater Changer delights in my lack of power-- opportunity flows from my own limitations. He chooses the small, the powerless: thus, my smallness frames the hope of the world, to the glory of God, sole changer of things. |
