Deposition Poems

In 2002, Katie Ford published a book of poems titled
"Deposition."   In an interview shortly after the publication of the book, Katie says that many of the poems deal with or are related to her experiences with a Christian group while in college.   (You can't really tell this from the poems unless you know it going in.) I went to the same college and was in the same christian group, though I was several years behind Katie, and was only acquainted with her.  I wrote these poems in response to Katie's book -- not to argue with her, but simply to lay my very different experience with the same place and people alongside hers.  The style is lifted from her book, though these poems aren't half as complex or referential or ambitious (or, really, as good) as Katie's.
