How many of you saw this on ebay? I sure didn't. I got permission from the dealer to use their photo here. I also asked if they had any more and the anwser was no. Shoot! I wanted to kick myself around the room until I saw what it sold for and realized I was out of the running before I could get into the running. Sold for $240. The description was An early rare rectangular pattern glass individual salt. 2 1/2x1 3/4". The rim is red with a thumbprint pattern around the bowl. Circa 1870. Rare to find this salt with the red rim particularly in as good condition as this one is. In near perfect condition. A must for a serious collector.
