Did somebody say cricket?
Talk about cricket - the mighty Eagles, the getting mightier Redbacks or the always mighty Aussies. And remember - "Wear a Smile not a Frown"

Hey lads,

How's things shaping up for this season? Anyone been out to a preseason training yet? Things are good in Pt Lincoln. To give you a bit of a rundown of what I've been up to .... finished study in June and headed up to Cairns to defrost from this cold winter for 2 weeks. Got back and started a job ... that's right, for the first time in my life I have discovered how inflexible permanent employment can be (ie you can't just have a day off whenever the weather's good to go fishing!). Playing footy with Marble Range and just fishing whenever the weather is good.

Our cricket season start mid-October. We've got a new oval in Lincoln with quality lighting and day/night cricket planned from January. Should be a bit of fun.

Good luck to all this season (in whatever capacity that may be).

Junior.

Hello to all,

What a great fucking idea!!! Brother Jonsey had to be the influencing factor for sure...
Well as with any time in my life alot has been happening. Spent 4 months in Byron Bay on the piss rooting alot of backpackers etc then spent the last 4 months on the Gold Coast working for Panasonic selling Office products and Yes i said Yes I did a full preseason with the Gold Coast Dolphins in the Bris District Cricket and after my hard work they pick me in the 3rds!!! Fucking Wankas!!!
Left my job last week and am heading up to brissie in about a week or so to locate some decent cricket and plenty of sluts of course. As Jonsey will tell you Queensland life is pretty good "beautiful tarts 1 day and perfect glamours the next" but yeah new phase is starting again and if you give a shit looks as tho ill be playing for South Brisbane District Cricket Club.
Hope ur all well and im off to the pub in Surfers Paradise to chat up some Meter Maids and have a cold frothy 1 for all the Kings Boys.
Much love
Brother Lewis AKA Disco xx

Thanks for that Zacca - has been updated. Disco - glad to hear you are still alive, should go out for a hit at Toombul, a club in a similar situation to the Eagles a few years ago but on the up and a great bunch of blokes, bit like the Eagles. Good luck mate.

Good to see Froggy hasn't changed. If you can't get a batsman out, best to cheat them out ... even if it was a trial game and the batsman was a member of the Kings Boys!

Hahaha ... I played and missed at a ball and he's gone up for the caught behind only for me to get fired!! How does the brotherhood see this kind of behaviour?

Well - if he were a current member of the Brotherhood there would have to be serious repercussions. However - as a current player he is not an official member of the Kings Boys and therefore punishment cannot be dealt....yet. On there other hand maybe we can just order a fat-o-gram for his bucks show.......

It appears as though this year's Adelaide Turf comp is going to be one long Kings Boys reunion.

Brother Jonesy is likely to face up to former Eagles star Brett Swain this weekend, while Brother Flip's opponents contain one James Minagall in their ranks.

Both are likely to play former Eagles Club Championship winning coach David Ritossa (Pulteney OS) at some point in the season.

You can keep track of the Brothers post-Eagles adventures on the turf website

http://www.turfcricket.com.au/results.php

Brother Jonesy is playing for Adelaide High OS in the A1 grade, while Brother Flip has returned for Brighton in their 2nd XI (in A3 grade). The full scorecards from the games appear on this website a few days after the end of the round.

G'day Kings brothers

A little bit of news re Eagles Juniors. We have just started a group for talented 10-11 year olds - coaching rather than a team. Very successful in aquiring the young talent before our neighbours. While I co-ordinate the program the coaching has been shared between current seniors JT, Froggy, Wes Thomas, Corey K. Steve Weinmann and Danny the Chef. Now old Kings boys are about to take over - David Cass, Grant Wyman,Swainy, Higgie and Brad Young.

Noticed that Jesse still hasn't quite got the grasp of the English language. Hope the Juniors missed his contribution.

WELL DONE TO THE MIGHTY EAGLES - CLUB CHAMPIONS 2006/07.

And good luck in the finals this weekend - it's absolutely tremendous to see four teams in action this week. I wonder when that last happened... Rocka??

And as for the Kings Boys, Brother Jones is lining up for Adelaide High OS in the Turf Premier Grade semi final against none other than our last championship winning coach, Riz.

And after helping(?) the Bombers avoid relegation from the top flight, Brother Flip is awaiting news of a permit to allow him to line up for Brighton's B (A3) grade semi final against Unley. And a grand final meeting with James Minagall's Fulham is a possibility...

go you Eagles (and the Bombers!)
