Runs and Wickets Galore
The Eagles have got away to a solid start to the season with all grades winning thier share of games and some incredible individual perofrmances with the bat and ball.
Kings Boy in waiting JT smashed 114 on the weekend against Univeristy in their heart breaking 1 run loss. Three D grade players have also hit hundreds in the past 2 weeks with Carl Mickan (129) and Nick Giles (101) helping them to a score of 7/373 against Adelaide and Floyd Fulwood smashing 108 not out in a total of 140 versus Uni.
The C's have also had some great performances, particularly against Adelaide where they belted the Buffalo's for 380, although no batsmen reached 3 figures.
The story of the season so far is without doubt the Russ 'Rusty' Biar performance of 8/35 and 2/29 in the B grade, which included 2 hatricks.  The incredible performance has made the news everywhere and has been reported in The Advertiser, The Weekly Times Messenger and on radio station 5AA.
Also a mention must go to former club coach Rizz who compiled 154 not out a few weeks back for Adelaide Turf Club Pulteney OS. Rizz also belted 7 off the last over to secure a one wicket win for his side.

Big Scores for Eagles Pair
The first week for the Eagles saw some big scores from two of the Kings Boys favourite players. Tim 'Toolman' Allen scored his maiden senior century, smashing 108 out of a total of 172 against last years premiers Sturt. Meanwhile, across at Price Memorial Oval Adam 'Andrew' Rumbelow belted 182 out of a total of 284 to put the B grade in control of the match. Rumbles continued his love affair with Price Memorial Oval, 4 years ago at the same ground he belted 131 with his century coming up in just 50 odd balls (sorry Andrew) in a massive opening partnership with....you guessed it - Toolman.

Another Wedding
Well done to former club coach David Ritossa who recently married partner Demi in the Whitsunday's - the day after the AFL Grand Final! Might have been a different story if his beloved Essendon were even close to competing in the 2006 finals?!?
