"Dancing Naked"
review:  jude @ largo - february 13, 2002

(this review was originally posted to judediscuss on february 21, 2002)

Hey all...

most of the details have left my short-term-memory-lacking mind, so I thought
I'd just post a setlist of what Jude played last Wednesday at Largo.

01. Gay Cowboy - he said "we'll just get this outta the way." he's joking
about going to Nashville next week and offering this up to the masses there!

02. George - it was nice to hear this again...if only he would have down the
"Heart-Shaped-Box" intro!

03. I'm Sorry Now

04. Charlie Says
- I LOVE the additional lyrics he tags onto this
song...about reading the book of celestine and laughing until he
cried...that's my favorite part of hearing this song live!

05. Indian Lover - passionate as ever

06. You Mama You

At the keyboard:

07. The Asshole Song

08. King Of Yesterday
- he messed up and repeated the first verse during the
second verse, then improvised (in melody) a little bit about how he was sorry
but the moniter was bothering him causing him to mess up.

09. Sarah Goodnight - one of the new songs that's up on judemusic.com, only
he played it at the keyboard, which made for a nice change :)

back to (electric) guitar:

10. Out Of LA

11. Prophet

12. Rick James

back to acoustic guitar:

13. Cuba - he keeps describing this as "an expenisve" song

14. Red Room - a little faster than usual

15. In Between
- a group in the back requested and got this. he's changed
this one around a little! the chorus is slightly different and there are
some new lyrics...I might get an MP3 up soon!

16. Love Letters - this is easily my favorite from Harper

17. On The Dance Floor
- another request...it kinda loses it's punch with
just the guitar. HOWEVER, the people who owned the club had the lights on
stage flashing bright orange and red, like strobe lights, to help with the
Disco effect! It was a classic moment!

18. Homerun Hillary
- this is a little different from "You're So Hot I Love
You." The chorus is slightly different. This is such a great song!

19. I Know

20. Everything's All Right - audience participation as usual!

21. Dreaming - Brand new song!!! Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!

22. I Do - I'm sorry, but I was really tired during the show, and this was
not the best song to play to keep me awake...lol...but still, a lovely
rendition of it nonetheless.

That's it.
