Love
Love.  What is it exactly?  A feeling, an emotion, a state of mind?  Or is it something tangible?  Something you can reach out and take hold of?  Something you can see, or taste?  Something you can hear, or smell?  Should it pertain to just intimates, and family?  Or can it just be between friends?  Opposite sex, or same?

Many people ask these very questions at least once in their lifetime, few find the answers.  But here, and now, I believe I finally have.  An answer so purely simple, and yet, so utterly complex.  So much so that I can only describe it as tantalizingly mind boggling.  One small word, with three even smaller letters.  Yes.

You may wonder, "How can one word answer all those questions?"  But if you think about it, it really is quite simple.  It all depends on you, the person asking the question.  To some, it is that tangible thing that ignites your five senses.  To others it is nothing more than a feeling.  And still to others, it's that one unobtainable dream.

But, despite all the variables in love's equation, there is still one undying constant.  Everything changes, even love.  Some find it many times over, while others find it only once.  For some it's theirs for a lifetime, while for others it only lasts a moment.

Knowing this, I find it hilarious to hear the phrase, "Love is fleeting."  Well, I'm here to tell you that that is wrong.  Love's not fleeting, it's neverending.  Whether it's that sunset, or sunrise, that brings a tear to your eyes, and a warmth to your heart.  Or that undying devotion to your family.  Maybe it's that feeling of rebirth when a rose has just bloomed, or the look in your lover's eyes when they wake up in the morning to see you lying there beside them.  Or maybe, just maybe, it's nothing more than the trust shared between friends.

No matter what it is, it's always there.  You just have to open your eyes and look around.  It's there, just waiting for someone to notice.
Lonesome Dove
In the eternal heat of the desert winds
One lone dove perched on the threads of time
For he saw, with greater sight that fathomable by the gods themselves, the end of the next beginning
And for that he wept

Not tears of sorrow for the pain that was still to come
But tears of understanding for paths not taken
Paths of enlightenment leading to passionate ecstacy
A passionate ecstacy fired up by an eternal heat
