I've seen plenty of Zatoichi movies from the first ones to the last one but I wasn't reviewing stuff then so go watch them, they are good. Today I watched Zatoichi's Revenge and I really liked it, more so than many of the other Zatoichi films. The thing I think I really liked about this one is that it had everything without ever being too heavy handed. It kinda went between a serious movie and more of an action movie with a good bit of comedy. The story was very good. Zatoichi passed by the town of his old master and goes to visit to find out he was just murdered. Now his daughter is being held in a brothel and it's up to Zatoichi to find who did the murder and save the girl. Along the way he meets a man who is a dice cheat but is very kind hearted and has a very sweet daughter. Of course the bodies pile up pretty quickly like most of the Zatoichi movies but unlike the later ones, they don't have all the blood or anything, just a smudge on their face if anything. So overall this is a very good movie if you want to have a good time and want a feel good story, check it out. (note: this is the 10th Zatoichi movie if that makes it easier to find)
