By now if you haven't heard about King of the Hill then...Well, you need to sort that out right now. So for your benefit, here's some basic info about the show.
It's based around The Hill family who live in Arlen, Texas. Hank is the father, a stern but kind man who loves his work, selling propane, and his pet dog Ladybird. He's constantly embarrassed by his son Bobby, who wants to be a prop comic when he grows up, much to Hank's horror, and married to Peggy, a substitute Spanish teacher who is sadly deluded about her skills as an educator. Completing the family (at least during the early seasons before she moved out) is Luanne, a cousin of the Hills who is a hairdresser but often lives in her own fantasy world.
Bill, Dale and Boomhauer are Hank's friends, Bill's an army hairdresser who is constantly haunted by his loneliness, Dale is a paranoid conspiracy freak whilst Boomhauer is a lady's man who speaks in an incredibly quick and sometimes garbled manner.
The show was created by Mike Judge (Beavis and Butthead) and Greg Daniels (Seinfeld, The Office US) and debuted in 1997.
