he starts out describing his general discontent with his life and the world as he sees it. he has just lost his dear girlfriend through an act of lust and betrayal. he still loves her and is disgusted by the situation. suicide crosses his mind. the holy guardian angel says "fear not for mathers shall lead him, fear not for crowley shall lead him. fear not for regardie shall lead him." (worn of the world) no grade
he makes the decision to take his life and sets out for the bridge from which he will throw himself. at the moment he is about to jump, he is snatched back from the brink by a stranger, the glassmaker, who tells him there is more to be hoped for in this world and that he will show our hero, the "golden dawn" of a new day. (suicide segue to golden dawn theme)probationer
the stranger takes him to a forest and shows him the elements of malkuth. he understands, kind of the syncronicity of the universe and the integration of all things. perhaps it won't be the elements themselves, perhaps it will be people or a process that is representative of the elemental integration such as the production of glass. that might be very interesting to show the introduction of the elements as the creation of a magic mirror in which the protagonist sees himself reflected mystically. behind him he sees a female character who becomes his love interest and represents the archangel sandalphon. Her name is Sandy. neophyte 0=0 Sandy introduces our hero to the earthly realms of experience. Dancing, clubbing etc. A la hermione in Steppenwolf.
