TALL NARROW QUADRIFILAR HELIX ANTENNA

Here you can find some interesting photos of how me and my father built the tall-narrow Quadrifilar Helical (QFH) antenna.

Soldering the elements. Pay attention to the wet piece of kitchen paper placed near the plastic pipe to prevent it from melting due to the high temperature generated at the soldering point.

Photo 5

The plastic cover placed on the top end of the plastic pipe with the 4 holes placed 90 degrees apart each other. This cover is used to house the 4-turn RG-58 balun and prevents rain and sun to come in contact with the balun.
