hi everyone
You will be pleased to know I am out of the country many miles away, in a place called japan. I arrived yesterday, the flight was smooth and fairly enjoyabe as i was lucky enough to get upgraded. I m staying in a youth hostel for the first few nights, then i meet up and stay at my mates house on sat. Tokyo takes some getting used to, especially the trains. Imagine the london underground, double the size of station and number of lines and give them all japanese names. Yes, it is quite confusing, but i doing ok. Tokyo is fairly expensive, the cheapest beers are around 400\500 yen, which is about 2.50 to three pounds. A bit like london. You have to chose the right places. Not many fans out here at the moment. Mind you it is a large city with 18 m pop.Along with that is plenty of pollution.
will keep in touch

hi everyone
sorry it has been a few days since i last emailed you all. ive had problems finding internet access.
the game yesterday was a game of two halves. i m not to sure about some of the selections made by sven, but i still have faith in him ! the atmosphere at the game was ok, no trouble. It was good to see a lot of japanese following england. unfortuantely, i could nt find room to put my flag up, but i will make sure for the argie game ! anyway i am enjoying japan and i am learning some things that you should try and avoid doing. some of you may be able to relate to some of these.

AVOID
1. blowing your nose in public (dave sayer/ste)
2. eating without coordination (dave sayer)
3. exposing your backside in public (nik/ste)
4. making rude comments in public (baz,phil,jim/jim bland)
5. opening the doors of taxis, as they open automatically and as a result may cause an injury to yourself (jim bland)
6. eating take outs on public transport (big chris, johnny walker /harrison/grandage
7. staring at good looking birds (rose, ivan, nik, baz, jim, shane
8. showing off is not encourage (mike)
9. using english phones, as they look bad over here (was)
those names who i did nt mention, feel previlaged.

hello again

i bet you are all going mad back home, we certainly are here ! what a fanatastic performance. the atmosphere in the stadium was electric, especially in the second half, when we were all doing the conga ! my flag was nt in a very good position to be viewed, but im glad some of you saw it at the argie and nigeria game. could this be are year ? we just have the small task of beating brazil or could it be belgium. still in niigata at present. we arrived on friday and managed to get a hotel for one night. unfortuantely they were fully booked on the night of the game. but as we won, we decided to party the night away at some japanese rave, which seemed more like a school disco to us ! left there at 6am and had a couple of hours sleep on a park bench, much to the amusement of the locals. heading back to tokyo today, although i might stop off at a town on route. From monday i will be staying with my mate, if he wants me back, as i have very little money. my journey to australia is on hold once more ! ps i have seen some geisha girls how are the gainomaxs ? is the sunbed on form ? COMING SOON : WILL`s CHAT UP LINES sayanara
