Time Slips Away...
G. Matthew King

Time slips away, often leaving broken bottles that once contained
beautiful dreams. We move along the river, slowly but steadily away from
the bubbling spring of birth until we pass into the vast ocean of human
history. Humanity passes around us; some leave us behind while others are
born. Lives cut tragically short as some live to be ancient without ever
risking and thus never living. Lives and events dance around one another
like fireflies swarming on a hot summer night. Lights shoots through
prisms, scattering into the colors that shape ideas, thoughts, and
emotions. Brilliant at their source point, the lights fade and weaken
with distance only to be overlayed by the shine of others. As time ever
passes, we know we will never have this very moment ever again. Truly, we
are never as young as we are right now. Don't waste a minute of it.
