Robert "Bob" Ford was born October 15, 1927 in Wisconsin. He married Jahala Noble. They had six children together: Christopher Brett (b.1950-51), Melanie Sue Hill (b.1952-53), Robert Mansel (b.1954-55), Jesse Thomas (b.September 21, 1955, d.March 1988, Denver, CO), Frank Noble (b.May 1958, d.September 10, 1992, Mayer, AZ), and Doran Miguel (b.1968 in Mexico, d.after 1992).
In 1949, Robert & Hillis Ford, and two friends from the University of Wisconsin, Roger Waller of Taylor & Richard Claus of Eau Claire, spent the summer prospecting in Lac la Ronge, Saskatchewan, Canada. An article in the September 18, 1949 La Crosse Tribune details their uranium find. Robert died on May 6, 1971 in a plane crash at Coolidge, AZ.
