Frederich Schlinsog was born February 14, 1885 in Grant Twp, Clark County, Wisconsin to Carl "August" and Auguste "Pauline" (Handtke) Schlinsog. On August 19, 1909 he married Minnie Martha Lavondowsky (b.03-27-1889). As a wedding gift, they were given a cow, which was tethered behind the horse-drawn lumber wagon that carried the newlyweds & their belongings six miles north to their new home in York Twp., Clark County. Fred and Minnie had two daughters in York Township.
Ruth Louise Schlinsog (b.03-05-1910, d.03-1992) married Victor Emmanual Turner(b.04-11-1910, d.03-24-1988, Wisconsin Rapids, WI) on January 24, 1932. They had three children:
1.) Gary Grant Turner (b.08-28-1932) married Alice Kallas (b.06-04-1937) on September 7, 1957 and are known to have at least two children: Christine Ruth (b.09-27-1959) and Lane Grant (b.02-18-1963).
2.) James Frederick Turner (b.11-16-1937), unmarried as of November 1967.
3.) Roger Roy Turner (b.05-05-1940) married Carol Boardman (b.05-25-1941) on August 6, 1960 and are known to have had at least two daughters: Rochelle Rae (b.09-27-1961) and Kathy Maureen (b.07-24-1964).
Sadie Martha Schlinsog (b.07-04-1911, d.10-1955, Kendall, WI) married John James Bunk (b.08-27-1912) on October 18, 1945. They are only known to have had one daughter, Karen Jo Bunk (b.03-27-1947) who was training to become a nurse in 1967 at La Crosse, WI.
