Walter & Esther Bailey.
A letter written on the reverse of this photo postcard (below) indicates that Esther was the niece of my great-grandparents, George & Dora (Copus) Longmire of Soldiers Grove, WI, and that the couple lived in Grays Lake, IL. Esther is the daughter of William & Lanora Longmire, with whom it seems the couple resided. They were known to have one living child, as of Dec. 2000, Marie Bailey Peterson.
Anyone with more information on this couple is encouraged to contact me.

Dear Aunt and uncle
Well how are you folks
this leaves us all well
As usual this is a very pretty country here
we like it fine here well I will send
you one of our pictures we had taken last
summer as you didn't get any of them
What are you doing up there pa & Walter
is plowing. well you write and let us
know if you get this or not and I will
write you a letter I will be up to see you
before long so good by. From Mr & Mrs. Walter...
