The Rules

Arena: shall consist of a regular hexagon with sides 2 meters long and 1/2 a meter high. The floor area will be the gym floor. There will be random obstacles in the arena that will increase in number based on the round. Each team will have an area measuring 3/4 meters by 1/2 meter. The area will contain a minimum of 50 ping pong balls.

Competition: Two rovers will compete at a time. The competition will be a double elimination tournament. A teams' car must start with it's rear wheel in it's area. There will be three minutes between rounds. Teams will be given a one-minute warning before the start of each round. Rovers will have 3 minutes to collect as many ping pong balls as possible. Balls have a value of one point. If at the end of the competition both rovers have collected the same number of balls the competition will be extended in 30 second intervals until one rover collects more balls then the other. Balls will be removed from the rovers but not returned to the arena for overtimes. Collecting a ball will be defined as  a ball in a storage area, which is part of the rover and the ball not in contact with the floor, at the time of counting. balls enclosed on all sides in a net may touch the floor through a rectangular sized hole in the net.

General Rules: All parts of rover must stay in the arena. Rovers may be designed to block or trap other rovers. Any rover that purposefully disables another rover such that in the judgment of the officials the disabled rover cannot continue in future round will be disqualified. The officials may stop competition if a dangerous situation occurs. This will end that round and the point will be counted at that time. Any rover not ready in the arena when the round begins will forfeit that round.  Each manager will be given two cards good for five minute extensions of the time between rounds during the competition. Cards must be given to the starter before the start of the round. The starter will place the ping pong balls randomly in the arena. The starters for both teams will start their rovers at the same time.

INFRACTIONS OF THE RULES WILL RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION AND POSSIBLE SUSPENSION FROM THE EVENT!!! I'M SERIOUS!!!!
