| The members of the Oxbow String Quartet come from different corners of the U.S.: violinists Vivek Jayaraman from Lansing, Michigan and Eugene Feygelson from Milford, PA, violist Jonathan Larson and cellist Andrew Larson from Minot, ND. All four currently attend the Eastman School of Music and have formed the quartet recently in 2006. | ||||||||||||||||
| Although the group is quite young, it has already begun a busy performance schedule that in the 2006-07 season includes world premieres of works by composers Christopher Winders and Marcus Macauley, the performance of a new work by Todd Kramer at the 2006 NYSSMA convention in Rochester, NY, general performances in Boston, Washington, D.C. and California, as well as several outreach programs in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The group currently studies under Professor George Taylor. | ||||||||||||||||
| All four players share an affinity for the American landscape and thus chose their name "oxbow" as a representative term. | ||||||||||||||||
