| BREVE is a chamber music ensemble, based in New York City, which began its performances in 1985. Since then, the group has toured the United States, Mexico, and Europe, offering its unique programs to audiences of all ages and cultures. | ||||||||||
| The aim of the ensemble at its inception, was to perform the music of all centuries, on authentic instruments and in historically informed style. In addition to playing music from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Baroque, and the Classical eras, BREVE has commissioned new works by contemporary composers for its modern instrument combinations. | ||||||||||
| The BREVE ensemble also offers lecture-demonstrations and children's programs. | ||||||||||
