JAMIE VAN EYCK

              Singer JAMIE VAN EYCK has been called "exceptional" by the Salt Lake Tribune, and for her role in Elliott Carter's opera, What Next?, at the Tanglewood Music Festival, the Hartford Courant proclaimed that she "performed beautifully with exacting musical precision and strong charisma".

              Ms. Van Eyck has appeared with opera companies throughout the United States including Santa Fe Opera, Utah Opera, and Opera Boston, as well as The New England Conservatory Opera Theater.� Among her roles performed are Diana/Jove in La Calisto, Ramiro in La Finta Giardiniera, Venus in Orpheus in the Underworld, Flora in La Traviata, Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and Second Lady in The Magic Flute.�
Ms. Van Eyck spent two summers at the Tanglewood Music Center, where she performed the role of Mama in the North American staged premiere of Elliott Carter's opera, What Next?, under the baton of James Levine.� Her 2007 season includes return engagements with the Mark Morris Dance Group singing the role of Dido in "Dido and Aeneas".�

             Ms. Van Eyck has also enjoyed successes on the concert stage in works such as Bach's Mass in B minor, Sch�nberg's Perrot Lunaire, Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, Handel's Messiah, and In the Beginning by Copland.� She recently sang Les Nuits d'�t� in Cleveland, and Mahler's Symphony No.2 in Boston. �In addition, she has been a featured soloist in multiple Pops concerts with Keith Lockhart. �
Ms. Van Eyck sang the world premiere performance of George Crumb's song cycle, Voices From A Forgotten World, with Orchestra 2001 of Philadelphia.� The song cycle will mark her second recording with Bridge Records of New York, and she will debut at Carnegie Hall with the piece later in 2008.�

            Jamie Van Eyck holds degrees from The New England Conservatory of Music and the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
