Information for the Kindred
| Just for the sheer pleasure of typing it all out, following are some terms and other information anyone interested in the Kindred for any reason or already in it may find useful. Or just interesting. But it's here for reference. Or something. |
| General Information
| |
| System of Rank | |
| As is common sense with a clan, the Kindred is led by one individual. This, currently, is Colette. Once more active members are picked up, a council or advisors will likely be chosen for consultation on matters that either don't require the input from every Kindred or is too immediate an issue to wait. There will likely only be two advisors and their duties will be fleshed out more thoroughly once they're chosen. | |
| Turning | |
| Turning, the act of changing someone into a vampire, is reserved for the leader of the Kindred unless other arrangements have been expressly made with her. Deviation from this law, one of so few, will be punishable. Potential Kindred may be referred to Colette, but they are not to be turned without her doing so or her giving permission. | |
| A Note on Vampirism | |
| This is merely being added to clarify that there is no specific manner in which a a vampire in the Kindred is expected to act. As in powers and all those "supernatural" things associated with vampires. There are likely innumerable ways to view and play vampires, and it's simply poor form to try and limit creativity on the matter. All such things are solely up to the player unless someone wishes otherwise. |
| Terms
| |
| Familiar | |
| One who is associated with the Kindred, but is not yet a member. Perhaps one who freely gives blood to those of the Kindred whenever the need arises. An old term that likely hasn't been used in years, but will gladly be welcomed back if any choose to take it up. Perhaps this is the best rogues could achieve if wanting to join the Kindred. Nothing's quite for sure yet. | |
