MADNESS

MADNESS

I am as dark as the light has made me
A reminder of what I have become
Lingering here in what dreams will be
Condemned to a restless empty soul

I am lost in a touched mind
Fasting the hunger makes me
lust for more
The crimson flood flows
Tainting the only love
I have ever known...
"You"!

Frightened by the rage I carry within
Nothing pure... only sin
Much like the pale waxing moon
Such is my skin
Feasting on the red liquid of life... teeth bloodstained
I brace myself for the pain of this...
damnation

I have taken the long walk
out of my centuries past
To stand above my shallow grave, in the grey mist
Waiting for the coming dawn
Fighting this charmed life to the bitter end
To stop this madness once and for all
I open my arms to embrace the rising sun...
this last time... praying...
Back to Mother Earth my Ancient spirit... I do send"
