| Welcome to Room 102 A Place to Learn and A Place to Grow A Place to Shine! |
| It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to my classroom. My name is Mrs. Riveron and I will be your son/daughters kindergarten teacher this year. This will be my third year teaching. I feel blessed to be able to work with the little ones! I love teaching and I believe that every child CAN and WILL learn! In my classroom, every child is intelligent and every child is a winner! I look forward to making a difference in the lives of your children. Here are a few things you need to know in order to help your child have a successful year: *Students need to be in school by 8:20 a.m. The bell rings at 8:30. Your child will be marked absent if he/she is not in his/her desk by 8:30. A late pass from the office will be required after 8:30 a.m. *ATTENDANCEPlease make sure your child comes to school everyday. I would like to have 100% attendance each day. Your child misses a lot when he/she is absent and special activities and projects cannot be made up. This disappoints your child. If your child is absent, you MUST send a written note stating the reason why he/she was absent. The note will be kept on file for the administration. *Homework will be given a week at a time. Your child will receive a homework packet that consists of a large ziplock bag, a homework sheet and a spiral notebook. Homework must be completed in the notebook and returned to me inside the ziplock bag. Homework must be signed daily by a parent/guardian. *Please DO NOT allow your child to bring toys or pencil sharpeners to school. *Parent Communication is of great importance to me. Therefore, your child will be bringing home a red folder entitled Classroom News. Please look through this folder and return it with your child. In this folder you will find notes from me, as well as other information from the school. I have also provided blank pages for you. Feel free to write to me in this folder. **We will have a wonderful time in Kindergarten! Thank you for your cooperation and support. Together, we can work to make your childs first year of elementary education the best! Sincerely, Mrs. Riveron |
