DOWN ON THE FARM
ANIMALS IN THE BARN
by Diane Batchelor; music arranged by Debbie Harhai
I'm a big red barn with my roof so high,
Reaches up to the sky,
Inside me, animals stay,
Where they eat and sleep and play.
First there's a cow with horns on her head;
She likes hay to make her bed.
Listen to the sound she makes: moo, moo, moo.
Then there's a duck with feathers on his back;
Waddling around the old haystack.
Listen to the sound he makes: quack, quack, quack.
Here is a soft and furry cat;
All day long he chases rats.
Listen to the sound he makes: meow, meow, meow.
CHORUS (BIG RED BARN VERSE)
Well, the rooster struts wherever he goes;
Holding his head up when he crows.
Listen to the sound he makes: cock - a - doodle - doo.
Now the fat old pig likes to sleep all day;
In the mudhole is where he stays.
Listen to the sound he makes: oink, oink, oink.
CHORUS
The little lamb has lots of wool;
He can give the farmer three bags full.
Listen to the sound he makes: baa, baa, baa.
The brown shaggy dog works hard on the farm;
Watching the animals in the barn.
Listen to the sound he makes: woof, woof, woof.
