NATIVE AMERICAN
POW WOW PICTURES
Mon. Nov. 20, 2000
All three kindergarten classes and the Pre-Kdg. classes dressed up as Native Americans and participated in a celebration of their November learning. Ten stations were set up around the gym for students to rotate to. The stations portrayed authentic NA activities.
We really appreciated our wonderful parent volunteers who helped guide the activities at each station.
A special thank you to our fifth grade students who served as Indian guides. They led the students from station to station when they heard the drum pound after 10 minutes.

Students heard a Native American tale told by a Burleson Public Library Storyteller.

Students made beaded necklaces to wear.

The Standing Corn Cob game was a big hit!

Talking feather was a great listening game.

Feather darts were as fun as Nintendo!

The rhythm sticks station created Native American patterns and beats.

The counting sticks station helped us with math concepts.

The busy little indians worked up quite an appetite. Berry juice and Trail mix hit the spot.
