The early morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, warming her feet. She opened her eyes groggily and glanced toward Russ to see him eyeing her with a smile.
"I've been wondering when you would wake up, love. We never did have that talk you know."
She nodded and smiled at him, "I was more interested in getting your clothes off!" They both laughed, and she sat up, disentangling herself from him. "So tell me what you want to say. Why did you come back?"
He swallowed hard, and hoped he would be able to tell her exactly how he felt. "Well, love, to tell you the truth I've been working on a movie that is being filmed in Oz right now. When I asked you out to begin with, I didnt think we would hit it off as well as we did. I was set to leave that Sunday to start filming, and I didnt intend to get involved with anyone here, but when I saw you walk into the bar that night I felt as if I had been kicked in the stomach with a very large horse, you know? I watched you the entire time you were there, but didnt get the courage up to talk to you until I saw you talking to Jerry. And when you turned around, all I could do was stare so I hope you dont think I was being rude or nothing."

She shook her head no, and he continued. "So anyway, you took me by total surprise. I never expected to fall in love, but that is what has happened. I think about you all the time. When I was in Oz, all I could think about was how stupid I was for leaving. I was in such a bad mood, I asked for a weekend off to come back here and try to see you. I was morose. I dont think a single person on that set could stand me! Then I get back here, and when I get to your place I damn near split my gut banging on that door only to have silence answer me. I was afraid you were in there, but didnt want to see me, not that I would blame you!"

She laughed softly and leaned over to place a soft kiss on his lips. He smiled and continued. "I dont think I have ever been so relieved for anything as I was when I heard you say 'I'm over here', love. When I saw you it was a rush of emotion that almost overwhelmed me. So, I came back to beg for your forgiveness, and beg you to let me see you again. I'm not going to hide anything from you anymore. I just want you in my life, on a regular basis - a very regular basis."

She was overwhelmed with feeling for him, and it took her a moment to speak. When she did it all came pouring out. "I tried to tell myself that it was all for the best, and that I wouldnt want to lead the kind of life you do, but seeing you standing there banging on that door...well....all those thoughts just vanished. I want you in my life. I missed you terribly, even though we havent known each other long. I dont expect you to drop everything you were planning to spend time with me, but I'm glad that you want to see me too. The question is: how are we going to work this out Russ? I mean, honestly, I'm sure you will be having to leave and go back to Oz to finish filming. How do you want to keep in touch?"

He smiled and said "I have something for you." He stood, with her admiring his smooth expanse of skin, and walked into the living room to retrieve his pants. Reaching into the back pocket, he pulled out a wireless phone. She had followed him, and he turned and handed it to her. She arched her eyebrows and said, "A cell phone?"

He grinned and nodded, "Yeah, love. This little baby is all paid for, and we can use it to keep in touch. I wouldnt want you running up your phone bill talking to this bloke, so I am footing the bill. No, No dont shake that pretty head. It costs money, you know. So I want you to accept this as a token of my feelings for you. It has my cell number, and the number to the farm programmed into it so I will be a click away." He thrust it toward her. "Take it, love. I want to be able to talk to you every day, you know."

She nodded slowly, and took the phone. He moved toward her and wrapped his arms around her, burying his face in her hair and filling himself with her feminine scent. She returned his embrace, hugging him tightly. He picked her up and swung her in circles before setting her down, and making her sit on the couch as he showed her how to use the phone.

The weekend passed in a blur with them spending the time at her apartment padding around, making love and raiding her kitchen. She cooked for them that night, and he was delighted to find that she was a wonderful cook. She made him linguini and baked chicken. They fed each other, laughing like carefree children. They watched television and chased each other around the apartment. The weekend passed all too quickly, and soon it was Monday morning and he was up showering so he could be a clean man when he got on that plane. He was dreading the long flight, and the extended seperation from her, but he was a happier man than when he had arrived here.

He was singing loudly in the shower, and she was laughing at him while she was cooking breakfast. She was making pancakes, eggs and sausage, and the smell wafted into the bathroom and made his stomach growl. She had brewed some tea for him, and coffee for herself so there was a vertitable cacaphony assaulting his senses. He finished his shower rapidly, dried himself off and dressed in record time. Joining her in the kitchen, he watched as she stood gazing out the window and sipping on her coffee. She evidently hadnt heard him come into the room, and was deep in thought.

He sneaked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her from behind, hugging her to him and pressing his lips to her neck. To his surprise, she didnt spill her coffee, and simply laughed and turned her face to kiss him. She looked so beautiful with the sunlight falling all over her face that he wanted to make love to her right then and there, but contented himself with kissing her tenderly and asking if that food was all ready.

She smiled and told him to help himself, that it was all on the table. Reluctantly he let go of her, and sat at the table. He filled his plate, and she sat beside him. They ate quietly, each one privately dreading the moment he had to leave. When they finished eating, he glanced at his watch.
"Shit, love. Its time for me to go." He frowned, and she nodded. She got up and made sure his clothes were all in his duffle bag, and he made sure he had his cell phone.

As he stepped to the door, he said, "I'll be annoying you love, by calling you every single night so you had better prepare yourself now!"

They laughed, holding each other with a fierce passion. His lips scorched hers with blazing desire, and soon they were both breathless. Arms around his neck, she stared up at him and said, "You had better get going before you are late. If you kiss me like that again, I might not let you go!"

He nodded and kissed her again, murmuring, "I'll be back soon, I promise. I will miss you like crazy. Someday you are going to come with me. I will see you again soon, though. We are halfway through filming, so I'll be back before you know it." She smiled and traced his lips with her fingertip.

"I want that day to be here already." They both giggled, and he released her to pick up his bag, slinging it over his massive shoulder. She held the door open, trying hard to keep herself from crying. They hugged and kissed again, with him cupping her face in his hands. She saw the emotions chasing through his eyes, and was awed to see unshed tears brimming in his own eyes. He voice was rough and scratchy when he said, "I love you Tasha"

The tears that she had been holding back, escaped her eyes, and she smiled. "I love you too Russell. Please take care of yourself and be careful. I expect to see you again soon."

He wiped her tears away, kissed her, and said, "You will, love. You will. You be careful as well. I will call you when I get on the plane."

He released her, and shot out the door before she could see the streams of tears streaking his face. She leaned against the door frame, and watched him start the Harley. He turned to her and waved, and smiled through her tears as he rode off. She knew now that he would be back, and was content..
