She leaned back, smiled, and said "You seemed bit thoughtful about something there for a moment, care to talk about it?" He looked at her tenderly for a moment, and cupped her face with his hand. "I was just thinking about some of my past relationships, love. No need to worry about it now. I have to admit to you, this bloke can be a real arsehole sometimes, though. I'm not quite as bad as what those damn tabloids picture me as, though. I'm just very fussy about things I want done. Perfectionistic I suppose. To be honest with you, having a relationship with me is...well..hard on any woman. It doesnt help much that I am on the go so much either. But I would like to get to know you, and I want you in my life on a regular basis. I just dont want it to hurt you when I have to get on a plane and be gone for a couple weeks at a time. Maybe even longer than that.It is hard to have a relationship in this business, you know?" He said quietly, hoping she wouldnt kick his ass out of the bed and tell him to fuck off. She nodded and sighed. "Yes, I understand. Josh was on the move quite a bit too, so I've been there. I went with him a lot of times, but there were a lot of times I had to be by myself as well, so I know about the lonliness. Right now, I'm just thinking, let's take this one day at a time, and we'll see what happens, right?" She smiled. He nodded, and said "Another thing too, though, love. The tabloid arseholes tend to make up shit about me to sell their papers, so if you see stories about me screwing this gal or that gal, I hope you wouldnt automatically believe it. To be honest, I have done some carousing, havent exactly been a monk or anything you know? But when I'm in a relationship it's all about monogamy to me. Cheating is something I despise, and I would never do that to a sheila, so I want you to know that I will be faithful to you, no matter what they say. And when they find out about you, you may find yourself being scrutinized on the front pages as well." "I believe you, and I'm not into reading those rags anyway, so it doesnt matter to me. I dont believe being a celebrity should require you to bear every part of your life to the public anyway. I know there are some people who think it does, but I'm not one of them. The only thing that concerns me is that by seeing you, I'm going to be a subject in one of their rags, too. If we do get that far with this thing, then I guess that is something that I would have to learn how to deal with that. I'm not really sure how I would handle it. That is one of those things where I will have to cross that bridge when and if I get to it. You know?" He nodded, and she continued. "I'm sure if we do make an attempt at a relationship, I will have to learn how to deal with it." she sighed, and lay her head back on his chest. "But for now, I just want to enjoy this night...." she whispered, and soon she was asleep again. He watched her breathing become steady and even, and while he was drifting off into peaceful sleep of his own, he was wondering where she had been all his life. Suddenly the dog was barking and the phone was ringing and Tasha was cursing and flopping herself off the bed. He jerked his eyes open, startled, to see her bang her shin on the night table beside her bed which caused a long and colorful stream of cuss words to flow from her mouth. He was amused to discover that she had language a sailor would envy. 'You just didnt hear it too often from her' he thought. She reached for the cordless sitting on the nightstand and barked into the phone. "Hello!" "Tasha?" came Kristens voice on the other end of the line "You sleeping? Damn girl, it's almost 12 in the afternoon. What in the world you doing in bed?" She said in exasperation. "Kristen, I was still in bed. I have company, so maybe I could call you back when I wake up a litle bit more?" Tash said quietly. Kristen was silent for a moment, then said "Holy shit. I'll let you go. Later honey!" and hung up the phone quickly. Tash hung up and slid the receiver back into it's cradle. She stood pulled a t-shirt on herslef, stumbling into the kitchen to let her neglected dog outside. Russell also threw something on, and followed her into the kitchen and asked where her bathroom was. She pointed him towards the door right across from the bedroom, and as he went, she began making coffee. Soon the aroma was permeating the entire apartment, and he emerged to find her gulping down a cup. She asked if he wanted some, and he gladly accepted a cup from her, watching her pour the stuff carefully. She was obviously not a morning person, though, and she stumbled over to the small table, and practically collapsed into a chair. He laughed, and sat down beside her. She glared at him, but her mouth twitched and soon they were both laughing. She finished her cup, and said "I'm going to take a shower, I'll be out in just a few minutes." She turned to the door and let her barking dog in, who ran up to Russell, tail wagging, and promptly whizzed on the floor. Tash grabbed some paper towels and cleaned it up, while Russell played with Maggie a bit. 'Soon Maggie will be under his spell too', Tash thought. She had no doubt Russell could charm the devil if he was inclined to. He had enough charisma for 10 men. She grabbed a towel out of the closet for herself, and one for him as well, and tossed it to him. "I'll be out in 15, so make yourself at home." she said. She went into the bathroom, and soon he heard the sounds of a running shower. He sat there for a minute, enjoying the sound, and then he got up, pulled his shirt off, and crept into the bathroom. She was humming softly to herself, totally absorbed in washing her body, so when the curtain opened and his arms went around her, she nearly screamed out loud. He pressed himself to her, and came into her from behind. She gasped, and moaned as his hand found it's way to her clitoris and began softly stroking it, all the while rocking her with his lower body. His other hand was rubbing her right nipple, and his mouth was all over her neck. She heard herself practically shouting his name, and lost control in an explosion of pleasure that spread throughout her body wildly. He was holding her up, and cumming in her, shooting hot jets of seed into her. She was glad she was on the pill, because she was sure he was as fertile as the fields on the farm where she use to live, and they were widely known for their excellent crops. When he was withdrawn from her, she turned and said, "What a wonderful way to surprise a girl, good sir. Thank you for that lovely episode," she smiled. "May I now return to washing myself?" He replied, "Let me wash you, especially that hair." So they took turns washing each other, laughing and playing with the soap which led to another long lovemaking session. At that point both of them were pickled up like prunes, and she laughed as he said "I need an iron to get the wrinkles out! Will you still want me, love, when these wrinkles are there permanently?" She grinned and said "You bet your ass, wonderful one that you have, I would!" They dried each other off, and Russ groaned as he put on a pair of old baggy flannie pants she handed him. "I'm sure you wouldnt want to put on those dirty clothes again. I'll wash them for you." So she threw a load of clothes in the washer, and they plopped down on the couch to cuddle some more. She turned on the television, and was flipping through the channels when she passed one of the entertainment channels. She heard a mans voice say "Russell Crowe, ladies man, spent his night with a mysterious new lady last night. Rumour has it that the Austin gal was the fiance of the lead singer for Bent Scheme, a local band, who died last year in a car accident." The mans voice continued. "The pair were seen walking along 6th street, holding hands, last night, and he spent the night at her place. More on this story when we find out something, folks!" Tash's eyes were bugging out of her head and Russell was swearing up a storm, He had put his cell phone on her table, and turned it off. Well, he picked it up and dialed a number when he heard that. Soon he was saying "Robin, put out a press statement that I'm not in Austin right now. I've got some blokes breathing down my neck and I dont need it right now. I dont care where you say I am, just anywhere but here." He hung up and looked at Tash, who was looking at him intently. He said "Well, maybe that will help. I'm not sure, but there could be paparazzi hanging outside your aparment right now, waiting on us to come out so they can flash us with a million bulbs and paint us all over the cover of the rags." he looked grim. "I know you said you werent sure how you would handle that, but it looks like you might be about to find out. I'm so sorry, I never meant to drag you into the limelight like this.." She leaned forward and kissed him on the mouth, silencing him. "You are worth it, Russell. It will be alright, one way or another. Dont apologize. I wanted you just as much as you wanted me. No one forced me into it. So I'm not going to go whining that I didnt expect it. I cant say that I like it, just like I'm sure you dont either. But I will make the best of it." she smiled wanly. "Now let's just go on about our business as if it doesnt matter, ok?" He nodded. "Alright, love." They snuggled up to each other, and Tash found the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" playing on one of the movie channels, so they hunkered down and watched it togather. |
