The Truth in Her Eyes
Willow woke with a smile on her face.  She'd had the dream again, that dream always made her happy.  Well, okay, the first few times it had made her more, confused and curious, but now that she'd figured everything out, it made her happy.

As she drifted out of dreamland and back to reality she remembered that she'd fallen asleep in Tara's dorm again, this realisation made her smile spread out into a grin.  The red haired wiccan sat up expecting to see the subject of her dreams laid next to her in the bed.  It didn't take her long however, to figure out that she was alone in the dimly lit room.

"Figures."  She explained to nobody in particular.  "She's never there when I wake from that dream.  Which is probably a good thing, now that I come to think about it."  A frown replaced her grin as she processed this thought, then she nodded, agreeing with herself.

Guessing that Tara was probably in the wash room and may be a little while longer, Willow decided to take advantage of being alone and practice the best way of telling the shy witch how she felt about her.  Unfortunately, she had no idea where to start.

It was a month ago she'd first had the dream, but her feelings about the blond had been playing on her mind for some time before that.

She loved spending time with Tara, she was so easy to talk to, and she was kind and sincere.  She had the purest, most amazing soul.  Plus, she was so unbelievably hot, and she didn't have the slightest idea about it.
In Willow's opinion, everything about Tara contributed to how adorable and attractive she was.  Firstly, her shyness and uncertainty.  Which caused her endearing stammer and the 'little child lost' look in her amazing blue eyes.
Those eyes, so full of truth, the depth of her soul were in those eyes.
The way she looked at Willow through those eyes.  Occasionally, Willow would entertain the notion that she saw love in Tara's deep, sapphire eyes.  Love for her.  But she never let herself get carried away with that thought.

"Okay.  Tara, there's something I need to tell you.  But it's very difficult and I have no idea how you're gonna react, and you'll probably never want to speak to me again, or you'll hate me, and then I'll lose you.  I don't want to lose you, 'cos you're really special and you mean so much to me."  Willow stopped before she hyperventilated.
"I'm pretty sure that was supposed to go somewhere."  Willow criticised her own babble as seen as there was nobody else there to do it.
"Why is this so hard?  All I have to say is, Tara, I think I'm falling in love with you.  See?  Easy."

     "W-willow?"
Tara's voice brought Willow crashing down from her conversation with herself.  She sat frozen with fear, wide green eyes full of embarrassment, anticipation and worry.  She tried to speak, but she didn't know what to say.  She'd said it already.
"Y-y, you're falling in, in l-love with me?"

Willow still couldn't speak, she nodded her head and tears filled her eyes.

"Willow, please don't cry."  Tara couldn't bear to see Willow upset, she stepped towards the redhead and placed her hands on the girls' shoulders.
"I'm sorry."  Willow managed to whisper before the tears began rolling freely down her cheeks.
     "Don't, don't ever be sorry."
Tara's hands were now rubbing the tops of Willow's arms reassuringly.  She was desperate to comfort her friend.
     "Willow, look at me."

Her green eyes sparkled like emeralds because of the tears and, as they met Tara's blue ones Willow finally realised that they really were full of love for her.

"Tara?"  She daren't believe it was true until the blond confirmed it.

She expected a word, maybe a few words, or a nod.  She was caught completely off guard when Tara's lips met her own in the softest, most amazing kiss Willow had ever experienced.

"Well that went better than I expected."  Willow quipped, relaxed and reassured by the kiss that had confirmed what she had always wished to be true.
"Are you still sorry?"  Tara asked softly.
"Definitely not."  Willow grinned and fell into Tara's embrace
