| It all started on a warm July Sunday afternoon in Princeton, New Jersey. Jesse was reporting on his L.D.S. mission and Karina instantly thought he was handsome. It would be a couple weeks later before the two were officially introduced to each other. Karina thought Jesse was a geek and Jesse thought Karina was too old for him. Little did they know. Karina would soon fall in love with that geek and Jesse was actually 9 months older than Karina. | ||||||||||||||||
| The two found themselves in the same church calling (Young Single Adult Reps.). That meant more time spent being with the other. Over time Karina and Jesse became friends. They had fun planning activities and also getting to know each other. Wednesday (institute night) and Sunday became their favorite days, they knew they'd see each other on those days. There would be the occasional hanging out with group of friends, but somehow on those nights the two found themselves talking to each other for most the night. They also found themselves emailing each other A LOT!!!! | ||||||||||||||||
| In late October of 2002, Jesse finally asked Karina out on a date. He was very sneaky about it too. He knew he needed to plan an activity for church and decided to seize the moment and ask Karina to go with him. He thought he needed to bribe her with lunch to go with him. They went to lunch and then spent about 3 hours lost in a corn maze. Karina knew she liked Jesse, but wasn't sure Jesse felt the same way. He was sweet and seemed different from the others. | ||||||||||||||||
| Finally the day came when Jesse officially asked Karina to be his girlfriend. Jesse tried to talk to Karina about something one night and she had the feeling that he was going to tell her they could only be friends, so she tried avoiding the conversation all night long. The next morning while checking her email, Karina started reading an email Jesse sent her. He told her that he'd been trying to talk to her about something and that he never could seem to bring it up in conversation. The email went on to say (luckily for Karina) that he wanted to start a serious relationship with her. And the rest is history!!! | ||||||||||||||||
