Her modeling career first took-off back in 1987 when she posed for the cover of Italian Vogue. Since then, she's been a hardworking face of Ford Models in both Paris and New York. She's strutted her stuff for many designers, namely all of the big names like Versace, Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Escada. She also scored a Maybelline contract worth $3 million, where she has to work only 12 days each year. In 1989, Christy signed an exclusive contract with Calvin Klein to represent their perfume, Eternity. She owns the Up and Down Club in San Fancisco with her younger sister, Erin. She also partnered up with co-supermodels Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell in ownership of the now defunct Fashion Caf in New York, Barcelona and Manila. She currently sports her own line of yoga wear manufactured through Puma, and is currently on a campaign against smoking. She also completed her collegiate studies in recent years, and has since slowed down the runway shows of fashion week. She continues to be a spokesmodel for many companies and products, and her face still graces some of the world's finest fashion magazines. She's a timeless beauty, with a wonderful attitude to match. Let's hear it for the epitome of class, style, and beauty: Christy Turlington, the focus of the DAILYdish SPOTlight for November.
