Jacmel, the Beach, and the drive there
For a day off, we went south to the beaches of Jacmel. Most went swimming, but since I was too modest to change in the van (good thinking, girl, bring it instead of wear it) I just went wading in the surf for interesting shells, rocks and what-not. We had the opportunity to try coconut milk, coconut meat, and some of the native fish. And the drive back was… very educational. Check out the pictures here, on the Port au Prince page for some of the shanties of PaP, and in my journal (Saturday) for details on our drive back to the Kinam.
