Mixing concrete the Haitian way

First find some aggregate - small boulders and rocks and pebbles and sand and clay and stuff

- to add to the cement to give it something to stick to

Then haul the aggregate to your work area

Add water

Mix it on the ground with a shovel

Add more rocks, gravel, sand, water, etc. to get it to desired consistency

Bring friends to help as needed

Take breathers from time to time

(Don't worry about the lumps)

Shovel two or three shovels-full into a bucket

Pass the full bucket along the bucket brigade and get another empty bucket to ladle more concrete into

Repeat until work is done and/or concrete is out (or rock-hard)
