| Windows says a VXD file is missing but everything works OK The VXD file is probably being called from the [386Enh] section of your indows\system.ini file. If you delete the reference to it, it probably won't try to load. It may be left over from a program you uninstalled or deleted. Click the Start button then choose Run... Type SYSEDIT and press <Enter>. Find the title bar for the windows\system.ini file and click the title bar. Scroll down to the [386Enh] section and look for a line that reads device= with the name of your file after the equals sign. Put a semi-colon at the beginning of the line to disable it. Save your changes, exit the System Configuration Editor, and restart the computer. |
