First check and see if your folders are set to be hidden or shown by opening your windows explorer.....then click on 'view' (windows 2000 and XP, click on Tools) then 'folder options' then 'view' again.....now put a dot in 'show all files'....'apply'...then 'ok'
now....'right' click on the folder you want to hide....then choose properties....put a check next to 'hidden'.....click 'apply' then 'close' .... The folder should take on a lighter yellow color......now go back to 'view' (or Tools for 2000 and XP) at the top of explorer....then 'folder options' ...then 'view' again....now put a dot in 'do not show hidden files' click apply...then ok. all hidden files will be gone and un-viewable until you un-hide them again.....and to do that ..just go back to view (or tools)....folder options....view.....and put a dot in show all files.
