Why do I get GPF errors when running AOL?

AOL has some help online for specific GPF messages when using the AOL software.  To view the help, use the AOL Go To menu and got to keyword GPF HELP.  Here's some general information on GPFs from AOL.

A General Protection Fault (GPF) is an error that occurs when a program or driver tries to access memory addresses outside of the range that Windows has assigned to it.  When the program modifies a memory address outside of its allocation, the program, and sometimes Windows, becomes unstable -- causing a GPF.

When a GPF occurs, Windows will alert you to the module and memory address that was affected by bringing an error message to the front of the screen.  In order to pinpoint the specific problem, it is important to write down the exact module and address as it appears in the error message.
