I think in order to understand ourselves and each other we would all be unable to do so without the humanities. Each word is important singularly but also collectively. Literature, art, and film can each be a creative outlet that helps us to understand each other but can also be important historically helping us to understand and appreciate one another throughout time. Culture, society, and socio-economics seem to focus primarily on communities collectively. History, art, literature, society, and socio-economics are all parts of every culture. The humanities as a whole covers a broad spectrum of learning opportunities that are crucial to understanding the human experience. |
