Crescent Themes

This page is dedicated to showing you images of Sphinx brooches that have the diamante CRESCENT detail within their settings. Here are just a few examples - but remember, this site is always updated so more pictures may appear as time goes on! 

Close-up of crescent detail from a U-shape brooch: these are fabulous photographs of an equally fabulous brooch! The stones here consist of Swarovski chatons in: amethyst, light amethyst, fuchsia, crystal and Aurora Borealis coated stones which look like rose AB.

Here are two round, heavily jewel-encrusted Sphinx brooches with seven crescents on them - they measure roughly 1.75 inches in diamater and are very pretty:  

This fabulous sapphire-themed Sphinx brooch as eight lovely crescents. This is a substantial piece - it measures approx 2.5 by 1.75 inches.  I received this as a birthday present in 2004 and was absolutely stunned when I opened up the wrapping!! 

This brooch is part of the "Baby" sphinx theme as the crescents are small. This brooch is in an autumnal colour-theme and measures approx 2 inches by 1.5 inches. There is a Sphinx logo on the back - I bought this on impulse thinking that it looked like a Sphinx and was pleased to find that my suspicions were confirmed!  

Here is another Sphinx-stamped brooch with the "Baby" theme tiny crescents.  The abstract shape is that of an oval wreath with four crescents. The dimensions are approx 1.75 by 1.5 inches.

Another variation on the crescent theme - this fabulous brooch has three regular crescents plus one enormous jewel-encrusted version at the top!   

This brooch has six crescents set within one crescent shaped setting!  Perhaps you could describe the setting in many ways: horseshoe, demi-lune, Roman laurel crown,  lunar eclipse...
