Welcome to FOK-U; Fans of Jimmy Kimmel United! We are a coalition of Jimmy Kimmel fans outraged with the refusal of many ABC affiliates to show Jimmy Kimmel Live.
FOK-U was established in order to convince WSYX (Columbus, OH) to air the much hyped, highly anticipated, new late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. After our quick success in Columbus, and solid public support across the nation, we have expanded to deal with all markets not showing JKL.
BREAKING NEWS!
With success in Columbus, we have quickly expanded efforts to Atlanta,
DC, and Huntington. Here is contact info for the rogue stations. We're
also containing a suggestion of how to handle phone calls with these stations.
In light of our quick victory in Columbus, we urge you to follow these
steps. Remember, you are going to be taken far more seriously if you act
in a professional manner!
1. Call the given number. You will probably be directed towards a switchboard operator. Ask to speak with someone from the programming department.
2. When connected to the programming department give your name, and tell them you are a member of Fans Of Kimmel - United! (Believe it or not, we are starting to make a name for ourselves, and stations are more likely to listen if they learn there has been a group created due to displeasure with something they've done.)
3. Tell them you are extremely displeased that their programming currently does not include Jimmy Kimmel Live.
4. Ask them WHY they are not including Jimmy Kimmel Live in their programming.
5. Tell them that you want to make them aware that many of their viewers want to watch Jimmy, and that Fans Of Kimmel - United hopes they will reconsider their stance (its good to drop the name in there once more, just so they remember it).
6. Feel free to report responses to us, they could be helpful.
7. Make sure to tell all viewers concerned in this endeavor about the FOK-U's website. We're quickly becoming a formidable headquarters for the fight against stations not showing Jimmy Kimmel Live.

FOK-U has succeeded in the Columbus area! A programmer at WSYX admitted today, in a phone conversation, that there have been many viewers calling in complaining. He said the "powers that be" at WSYX originally wanted nothing to do with the show, but they have given in. He even mentioned the FOK-U when discussing the mass amount of viewers who angrily contacted the station. Jimmy Kimmel Live can be seen at 12:30am on WSYX in Columbus.

OLD NEWS
On Monday 1/27 we had a conversation with a production manager at WSYX. He admitted to us that even though they are an ABC affiliate, they will not be showing Jimmy Kimmel Live in its live time slot. Also, they will not be showing the show on a taped delay at a later time. When the issue was pressed the production manager sited commitments to their sponsors and "other shows".
FOK-U wants to make use of a steady, direct, informational campaign. We began by targeting WSYX, their sponsors, and any Columbus media outlets. After a succesful campaign in Columbus we have begun targetting stations aroud the country. Each one of us is willing to make calls to the programming department, expressing our outrage over the syndication schedule that they choose to air, rather than Kimmel. We are willing to call sponsors and insist that they drop their ads on a station that won't pick up Jimmy Kimmel Live. We will write letters to relevent newspapers discussing our concern and outrage.
FOK-U needs members
that are ready and willing to act. Without public outcry, our organization
will serve no purpose. We need as many people as possible to spread the
word of this organization, and our goal throughout the Columbus area.
Otherwise there will be many Kimmel-less fans every weeknight at midnight.
