I arrived in LA on Thursday after a flight from Reno. I went to Lake Tahoe for a couple of days before LA with my parents. It took us forever to get a car at the rental car place and then we got stuck in traffic on the freeway. Finally, we go to the Sportsmen�s Lodge. I had nothing to do Thursday since no PCOers (Soapzoners)/Gatekeepers were there yet.

Friday July 22, 2000

I had to go out with my parents Friday morning. We decided to go on a tour of the NBC studios. We saw where Days of Our Lives, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and other shows are filmed. Well, that was the boring part of my day. While sitting at the pool, I meet some of the other Gatekeepers (aka Nexis fans). Later on, Michael Saucedo (Juan) showed up at the pool to sign autographs. He got stuck in traffic, of course. I had already met him so I hade Michael sign a picture of us together. Michael knew where the picture was taken (New Jersey). I got another picture taken with him. Later on, I ran into my NYC PCO get together friends, Yorkfan, rosy, and cap. I ate dinner with them at the restaurant in the hotel.

Saturday July 22, 2000

Nancy Lee Grahn Event

The time was changed from 2 PM to 7:30 AM but it was not hard to get up at all. I got up at 6 AM to get ready. Constance Towers (Helena) was the first one I saw, sitting outside. She looks great for her age. I got to talk to her while I was waiting on line for raffle tickets. Constance was wearing a white suit. Nancy entered the room to thunderous applause. She introduced Constance, or Connie as Nancy calls her, to us. In the middle of the event, Nancy made up promise that what she said would not end up on the internet. I sat at the table with NYC PCOers minus Yorkfan and LisaQ and her sister. In case you were wondering Nancy was wearing a white skirt and a pink flowered shirt. Nancy told us the cutest story about her daughter, Kate. Nancy and Constance seem very close so I am hoping the writers will give us more Alexis/Helena scenes. Nancy is computer illiterate but she does read the message boards. Sounds like the stars are frustrated with some of the stories on General Hospital just as much as the fans are. I knew Constance was in the King and I but I did not know she continues to sing now. I got a lot of pictures of Nancy and a couple of Constance while they were walking around for autographs and pictures. She gave me a hug and told me to tell the other Gatekeepers who were not there, Thank you for everything you have done. I have to say it was a pleasure meeting both of them.

I spent time at the pool with Yorkfan, Rosy, Cap, LisaQ, and her sister. My whole back got sunburned even though I put suntan lotion on. We saw Wally in the courtyard so we went over to the gate. He saw us standing there, waved and then did a stupid pose for our cameras. Of course, I did not bring mine down from the room. My friends also waved while we were in the pool. And no we were not stalking Wally at all.

Kurth and Taylor Concert

Before the concert, I met Kayla (LnLAngel) and her husband Kevin. I was sitting in the lobby and they walked right past me. Kayla looks nothing like the picture she sent me before the luncheon. It was such a pleasure to meet them both =). We checked in for the event and then got dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. We had to be lined up by 7:30 PM by number order. At first, they gave me a general admission ticket then I got a priority one. Unfortunately, I did not get to sit with them since I had priority seating but they were not that far behind me. I was about 7 rows from the stage. There was three other GH stars there: Tava Smiley (Chloe), Coltin Scott (Nikolas) and Jacob Young (Lucky). When the band came on they started with a song called Hero. I think they woke up the neighbor and I doubt anyone in the hotel could get any sleep. LOL. Wally wore his leather pants, a black tan top, and a black and white shirt that reminds me of Hawaiian shirt. The band sand a lot of songs from the album Freedom. They even tried a new song us but I don�t remember the name of it. My favorite song on Freedom is Baretfoot Ballet. I guess I am a sucker for ballads. Wally sang Simply Irresistible from this year�s Nurses Ball. It was a lot better than the Nurses� Ball. He said it was his daughter�s favorite song. This was my third Kurth and Taylor Concert this year and I still enjoy it. While the bad was playing, Wally told us to stand up and dance if we felt like it. After a Gatekeeper behind me told me to get up, I finally did. The funniest part was the people who wore a piece of fuzz under the lip. I think I have listened to Freedom so much that I know every work to every song. Luckily for the people around me, I did not sing. Around 10, it was time for autographs and pictures. By this time, I was so tired but I decided to stand on line anyway. I got my picture with Wally and Christian (Wally�s partner). I took Lisa B.�s picture with them and she took mine with them. One of the band members, I think it was Pat, saw my Gatekeepers pass and asked what it was. I told him and he said he wanted one. It was then time for bed.

Sunday July 23, 2000

GH luncheon

I hate to wake up at 6:30 AM for the 8:00 AM check in time. I didn�t know what to wear cause I forgot my slip at home. I ended up wearing the same outfit I wore to Wally�s concert the night before. Kayla knocked on my door when she got there and we went to check in. They won�t let you leave in the check in area after you sign in cause of security so we walked around the fan club tables. My online friend, Bessie came up to me and introduced herself. I walked around with her for awhile. I bid on an Alexis shirt but I did not win. They let us at 10:30 AM. I was at table 26 and all of my other friends were at 38. The people at my table were very friendly so if any of you are reading this, Hello and it was nice meeting you. All I have to say is that you do not go to the luncheon for the food. LOL. They fed us salad, chicken (I think it was chicken) and some cake for dessert. I barely ate anything at all except maybe the roll. John Ingle was the first one to be introduced and he introduced the rest of the cast. Name of the characters that were there (if I am missing someone let me know): Lesley, Monica, Lila (stayed a little while), Audrey, Taggert, Agent Larkin, Sonny, Johnny, Juan, Emily, Edward, Chloe, Hannah, AJ, Nikolas, Maxie, Felicia, Jax, Mac, Ned, Gia (Em�s blackmailer, new character we will not see until July 28th), Helena, Andreas (what a cutie), Liz, Bobbie, Lucky, and of course the Executive Producer Wendy Riche.

After the awards, John J. York (Mac) was called up to ask the cast questions. I don�t remember many of the questions. Coltin Scott (Nikolas) and Michael Saucedo (Juan) were asked about their music. Constance Towers (Helena) was asked about her singing. Kristina Wagner (Flea) was asked about Luke and Flea. Wally Kurth (Ned) was asked about his movie, Man on Fire. Wally said the filming of his movie is being pushed back until the fall or next summer. He did say that in the movie he is naked and that got applause. Lisa V�s (Hannah) question was about impressions that she does. She did Mick Jagger and another one that I forget. Then the stars went to the autograph tables. The first one I went on was John J. York (Mac), Kristina Wagner (Flea) and Robyn Richards (Maxie)�s line. The line was so long but I wanted to meet John because of Lisa�s website John J. York Online. Tava�s line was the next line I stood on. I had met her in New Jersey in March. She signed the picture of us from NJ. I took a picture with Tava and my online friend, Bessie. I got autographs from Leslie Charleson, John Ingle, Wally Kurth, Jacob Young, John J. York, Kristina Wagner, Robyn Richards, Tava Smiley, and Vanita Harbour. I also got pictures with them but if I could not get a picture with them I tried to get one of them. While I was waiting to take Kayla�s picture with Ingo, Ingo and Tava got into a marker war. They were running around the room. I really enjoyed meeting Jacob Young. This was his first GH luncheon and he was so nice. I had him sign an Emmy picture from this year. He asked me what he was look at but I told him I had no idea. Then he pointed out his manager to me. I was glad I went to the luncheon.

Later that night, we went to Jerry�s famous Deli which was down the street.

Monday July 24, 2000

I went to Universal Studios with Yorkfan, rosy, and cap. I went on rides that I would normal not go on.

Tuesday July 25, 2000

I went back to NJ. We left CA 3:30 PM PST and arrived in NJ around midnight EST. It was a smooth flight. I am so glad to be home but I am sad the weekend is over. It was nice meeting all my online friends.
