Here we are in St. Maarten, on Kelley and Matt's wedding cruise.
Well, I thought I would continue where I left off.
February: Valentine's Day was a moderate celebration in our house, thanks Dave. I know that next Valentine's Day we'll be living like no one else. Sometime after coming back from the wedding cruise, Geof decided he was going to lose weight. He also decided it was time for a physical. His doc discovered very high blood pressure and sent him to a cardiologist. He's been taking medication that is helping the blood pressure. Geof has also been reading a lot lately and after seeing Dr. Oz on Oprah I bought him the book, "You on a Diet". When he decides to do something, he doesn't mess around. His eating habits have changed dramatically (which has helped me as well) and he exerices regularly. The end result.. Geof has lost 20 pounds and is in desperate need of some new clothes. I know what you're thinking. 20 lbs! Did he have 20 to lose? Again, Oprah has changed my life. Not only his my husband healthier because of one of her shows, but we both watched the episode where she had the authors of "The Secret" on. We watched the DVD (instead of reading the book) and now are really focusing on the positives in our life and being grateful for what we have. We have both made some major lifestyle changes in the past year that are literally going to change our future family tree.
March: Spring Break from school for a much needed "break". I worked with Tina to help her get ready for two meetings she had coming up. She had been joking about me quiting and working for her for a few months, but Tina offered me a position with her company, ProPlan.it.
April: After considering all the pros and cons, Geof and I decided that taking the offer to work at ProPlan.it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that could not have come at a better time. I turned in my resignation and after 7 years of being a 4th grade teacher, I will be breaking new ground. I start with ProPlan.it officially in September, but will be able to do contract work this summer as needed. I am so excited about this new job!
So now we are all current. I'm sure there's stuff that I've left out, but we'll have to go from here.
