No sleep...all packing

I stayed up all Wednesday night packing up until Thursday morning. After that, I took a serious nap that was followed by moving everything into the car and more sleep. I checked into the hotel around 3pm, which is the earliest I ever checked into a con hotel before. Yay for earliness!

My room at the Hyatt is a good size, complete with a king-sized bed and a full sofa. The tv is wide screened HD...but I forgot my laptop cable so I couldn't watch my anime on the large screen. I proceeded to shower and then commenced my pre-con ironing for all 3 days worth of cosplay. After the usual shore was done, I rested. (No anime on tv...just a few episodes of 'Charmed' followed by generic cartoons.)

I could pick up my pre-reg badge at 7pm and went at 7pm. There was already a looooong line there. I kept myself busy with my DS and the time went quickly. Already, the con chaos was around me and I was enjoying myself in a crowd of otaku. After picking up my badge, I went to Outback for my ahi tuna salad with clam chowder. Oishi! It was as yummy as I remembered...but I was thoroughly stuffed. During the dinner, I confirmed plans with 801megane (she is coming tomorrow with iceblueaya) and I spoke a bit with Pearl-chan. (We've actually been talking to each other at random times in the day. ^^;)

Surprise phonecall came when XP, the guy I met who was staff last year, called me while I was eating. O.O Seems that he saw me walking through the con area. Since he was eating dinner with staff right now, we made plans to meet later. I finished my meal and went back to the hotel. XP came up and we caught up with each other (since the last time met was an year ago) and it was past 1am when I decided to sleep. XP discovered a foldout bed in the sofa so he slept there while I took over the wonderful king-sized bed. Needless to say, I fell asleep very quickly.
