leaving Hyatt behind
After waking up, I went downstairs to grab breakfast and eat in my room. 801megane and iceblueaya did the same thing. After eating, we packed up and checked out of the room. Good thing, Hyatt can hold our bags so we could travel lightly. We took a long time so we only caught the end of 'Cosplay Chess'. All I know is: L (Death Note) vs. Yuki (Fruits Basket) was king against king. Yuki won...I still don't know how. O.O
Found what I needed...almost.
We had a final run of the dealer's room where I picked up something for Pearl-chan, Jenn-chan and my two godsisters. I ended up buying Sensitive Pornograph and bondz manga since Sensitive Pornograph was the first anime I showed them (because it was the BEST) and Kawai Toko-sensei manga is LOVE. I gave up on buying my Ouran bear since I did't want a dark chocolate colored bear...even if it is the licensed version. ^^;
The most interesting at the con that I didn't buy? A hard gay key chain game. Hard gay is in a barral and we push swords in to the holes. If we poke a trigger, hard gay will pop out. I love that game. Alas, it was $8 and I didn't want to spend money on it even though it was the funniest thing I ever saw.
While we were browsing over the dvds at the Media Blaster's booth, I discovered that the person behind it was Frank Pannone. (Not much of a discovery since he is usually at the booth. ^^;) I spoke outloud before I could think. Me: Oh, Mr. Pannone! Frank: *looked at me* How did you know my last name? Me: lol You are always at these cons, everyone knows you. Frank: lol You can call me Frank. Me: *thinking* I don't dare. ^^; I worked up my courage and asked him about proofreading new works. He gave me his card and I responded that I'll send him my resume. A little info that he told me was that the proofreading works are done on the comp: he e-mails me the work and any corrections/notes can be made on the comp so that it can be changed when I e-mail it back to them. Awesome!
'IT'S OVER 9000!'

I headed down to panel 3 to see if I could get Joe DiGiorgi's autograph since he was the dubbing supervisor for Gravitation and the voice of Ken...but his panel was already over. *cries* Oh well.... Instead, I stuck around for the 'Men of Anime' who featured (from left to right) Aidan, Brian, Brad, Tom Wayland (Sena Izumi, Knight Hunters) and Greg. Lots of funny stories was shared (nothing X rated...that all happened on friday night already ^^;) concerning stuff that occured in the recording booth and at cons. The funniest story is from Brad Swaile who spoke about the time when all 5 Gundam Wing VAs were at a con. Apparently the fans wanted to arrange them in a line a certain way...and finally the VAs realized that they were situating them by pairings. Brad: Oh, yaoi! ^___^ (I'm assuming 1x2 and 3x4 and poor 5 by himself. ^^; Or maybe 1x5 or 2x5.... lol) Some voice requests were made and Brian of course did his Vegeta voice with the scouter. (I'm stating think all DB characters are going to lose their voices someday due to screaming.... ^^;)
con winding down
I met up with 801megane and iceblueaya in the lobby of con center and bumped into zanpakuto515 whom I met at NYAF. He was in his Organization XIII coat. Blanko was there and that was when I found out that she danced in the KH skit during the masquerade. Awesome! Others have mentioned that they didn't have their wigs, but they had matching caps. (They didn't want to wear wigs since it would be too hard to dance with wigs.) Their group was one of the best.
I got distracted by a Loveless trio that had Soubi, Yuiko and Kio. O.O *hugs Yuiko...with her permission* Yuiko was perfect: she even had a key, though she didn't have string to tie it around her neck. It was awesome and Kio even gave me a lollipop. ^.^ I accepted it since I want to be able to say 'Kio gave me a lollipop.'
last few panels
The 3 of us watched the end of Uncle Yo's show. He is an otaku comedian and is hilarious. His greatest achievement would be naming all the Naruto characters to the tune of Yacko's name song. *applauds* We ducked into the 'Director's Panel', but no one showed up.. o.O ..so we headed to the 'Manga Madness' panel which featured a bunch of themed manga. It was interesting seeing all the various manga that can be about wine, foods, sports...etc. Antique Bakery was featured as a bakery manga and of course the panelist had to confirm 'It's not a yaoi title'. ^.^ It was also pretty interesting since iceblueaya knew many of the manga named since she saw the drama before. lol

As our last stop, iceblueaya chose 'Spot the Reference' which was an anime where ppl guessed what the cultural/series/history/etc moment an anime was referring to. The opening scene was from Code Geass and the subject was cicadas. The fact that I thought it meant summer vacation was not the right answer. Cicadas cry because 'It's hot! It's hot!'. lol BTW, okay answers get gummy candy and good answers get a packet of pocky. I picked up on the fact that Utena was referencing Rose of Versailles. The one that I wanted to answer but someone got to it first was from a scene of Mai-Otome. The same meeting is mirrored in Evangelion in the meeting of the Seele members. The panelists saw me raising my hand before so they gave me pocky anyway. ^.^ Yummy!
Iceblueaya and 801megane left first, but came back to tell me that it was drizzling outside. (Aww...thx guys! *hugs*) I left the panel close to 5:30pm when okaasan arrived. After changing at the hotel, we headed home. Of course, I was knocked out the entire way back. -.-Zzz
