Day 2: Saturday, June 21 - Tomoyo-hime

First off, my hair didn't turn out well so this day was a very >.< day for me. I wished I was able to fix my hair before stepping out, but I had fun regardless. I just dread the pics that will come out from this day...

shopping and signing

I brought up some food for breakfast and of course, Tomoyo-hime eating toast is a perfect cosplay moment.

I wasn't able to truly go shopping the day before, so I headed for the Dealer's room first. I bought a set of 3 Loveless lami cards and searched for my Ouran bear but didn't find it in 'lifesize' form. >.< I headed down to the artist alley and bought a pic of chibi-Ritsuka that I saw yesterday. Unfortunately, they didn't have a pic Soubi. *sigh* Hopefully they'll have Soubi at the next con. I also fell in love with a pic of Ritsuka and Soubi...but decided not to buy it. ^^;

I was actually near the front for the signing so I was thrilled. I started speaking with a Sailor V cosplayer who turned out to be Kuro Usagi from the podcast, 'Anime Jam Session'. I fangirled over her before the VAs arrived. Then, I fangirled over the VAs. ^^;

The VAs Brad Swaile (Quatre, Gundam Wing,) Aidan Drummond (Shino, Inuyasha,) and Brian Drummond, Aidan's father (Zechs, Gundam Wing.) *faints* I gave the respective pics to the VAs to sign and gave them all pocky. For the Drummonds, I gave them Men's Pocky. Brian: You can't have that! Oh wait, you're 13 now. Aidan: Yeah, my birthday was yesterday. Me: ^^; It was yesterday? Happy birthday! ^__^ I saved my greentea pocky for Brad and got a pic with him. He drew a pic of Quatre on the pic as well. *happy grin* I can die happy now...I have met Quatre. *dies*

I wanted to drop off my stuff at the hotel before heading to the Ouran picnic event at the Holiday Inn lawn. I found iceblueaya and 801megane in the room with friend, Tina in orange and green jumpsuits. We talked about the masquerade and I found out that Tina was in the masquerade two years ago. Tina: I was dressed as POT in the masquerade. Me: O.O Wait! You were the one that danced 'Seishun Amigo'. Tina: Yes.... Me: *glomps her* That was my favorite! Turns out the little kid in the middle was her brother. That was so cool! That show will always be a fav from AN '06.

At the Ouran picnic, I had to wait since the twins were super busy with guests. (They were so popular-33 signed up-when I arrived. o.O) The picnic worked liked the host club in the series: you could choose who you wanted to serve you. Mori and Honey-senpai had a blanket, Hitachin brothers (Cloakedschemer as Hikaru) on another, Haruhi and Kyouya on one and Tamaki by himself. It was funny since Haruhi was called to clean up whenever guests left. ^^; The twins started by giving out treats and drinks to the guests, then we had the usual bickering and making up. 'Loving' moments ensued and discussion over who got to be 'top' was everywhere. lol There was a game of 'Red Light, Green Light' but I (as Tomoyo-hime) just watched and took pics and vids. ^.^

Lastly, they gave each of us a rose and I received a white one. Quite pretty to match my outfit. ^-^ And best of all...I got kissed by both twins, one on each side. *melts* Thankfully, X got a pic of that or else there would be no pics. ^.^

While still floating in 'heaven', I went to the Dealer's room again in hopes to find gifts for my godsisters and friends. Unable to decide, I decided to go to the Kyou Kara Maoh panel. But not before I saw the cutest Loveless cosplayers ever! Their father was with them and I even asked them if they saw the anime before...which was a resounding yes. O.O Their sister was Ritsuka so I'm assuming it's her doing. ^.^

The KKM panelists were hosted by the same people who hosted it last year (yes the same people who is hosting the yaoi panel.) The list of demon law complete with possible pairings were discussed. Whenever a spoiler is discussed, any fan that didn't want to hear the spoiler was encouraged to cover their ears. Panelist: I will wave my arms and dance when the spoiler is over. lol That was exactly what she did: wave her arms and dance. ^^; KKM cosplayers amused us with a Yuri and Wolfram leading each other around the room with a chain, the slap-drop-fork/spork-pick-up-dual was demonstrated as well as a possible kiss which resulted with Wolfram and Yuri running to opposite sides of the room. lol After the panel, I went back to the Dealer's room before giving up and heading back to the hotel for dinner.

Half a pack of instant ramen later, I went to the masquerade. I actually got there on time! ^^; The host was Lin Minmay from Macross and she regaled us with a song that was beautifully sung. There were tons of awesome skits this year and NO DANCING NINJAS. O.O The only thing I can say was that it was my first con with THREE Disney songs featured and two of them were from the wonderful movie, 'Beauty and the Beast.' Links to youtube below. Be a Man - Ouran style - Best vid of the skit - The BEST skit ever. Exhibition skit (shown in the intermission and not in the contest.) They weren't able to enter since the voices were not pre-recorded which isn't allowed in the contest. But the awesome thing was, Tamaki actually SANG the entire song. O.O (The Haruhi in the skit was iceblueaya and 801megane's friend.) *applauds loudly* FYI, they also had an awesome powerpoint that went with the thing. AND, when the white sheet went up...the audience knew exactly what was going on. *fangirl screams*

AMV winners! Here are my favs from the competition! The only one I couldn't find was 'Heat Miser Mustang', a funny amv featuring our fav Flame Mustang. ^.^ (Will link them once I track them down.)

After the masquerade, I met up with 801megane and iceblueaya in front of the yaoi panel....

To start things off, Kanda was wearing Lenalee's skirt. O.O We don't know what happened to Lenalee...but maybe Kanda wants to impress Allen.... ^.^

Unlike last year, we had a wonderful room with a screen for the projector in the room. Best of all...we had SOUND. The power point presentation was announced with BGM all around and awesome pics. The definition of yaoi was given (standard at all yaoi panels) and a few major series plus slash was mentioned. The Gundam Wing segment was introduced with the infamous voice clip of Heero and Duo smexing. *nosebleed* (Even now, I have no idea where that clip came from...but GW 1x2 yaoi fans must have heard it at least once.) Admist all the yummy smex, candy was thrown around the room. Oh yeah, when a dance music came on, the Envy cosplayer in front of us (male btw) started dancing. He was bone skinny as in...I could count the bones on his spine. ^^;

Video clips of smex was shown, the first being Ikoku Iroki Romantan. *fangirl squeal* Second was the boss and Mochizuki scene in Boku no Sexual Harrassment and the entire CORN scene. (Since iceblueaya didn't know about the anime, 801megane was catching her up to speed. ^-^)

Of course, Kitty Media's Frank Pannone was there and provided prizes of dvds and doujins for the fans. (He left a moment after but I don't think it was because he was scared off by the smex. He works with it fulltime! ^.^) A few trivia questions were given, some I took too long to think up the answer. *is ashamed* Two teams of two went up to compete. They allowed them to ask the audience and 'phone a friend.' (If I was up there, the person I would call would be Pearl-chan. I should've went up there! I would have won! ^.^) The results of the questioning makes me want to remember more seiyuus and soundtracks of BL. *is determined*

One doujin was given to the gay couple that was present last year as well. They were the ones who wowed us with a deep kiss. This year, the uke (I'm assuming) was wearing a tiara. At the panelists' request (and our cheering,) they presented us with another kiss. *fangirlish screams* Yes, the screen was paused on Sensitive Pornograph so we could witness the smexy kiss.

There was one doujin left so panelist Allen Walker decided to have a kissing contest: whoever gave her the best kiss will get the doujin. O.O Mass rush to kiss Allen occured. The winners? Two girls who kissed her at once. On the lips of course. As someone mentioned, the yaoi panel turned into a yuri fest in a matter of seconds. I caught some of the action on 801megane's camera. ^.^ (Mine was out of batteries.)

We started watching Sensitive Pornograph censored version (why censored?) when con staff had to kick us out. ^^; But not before they pulled out the last and best prize of all...CORN! That was total fun.

The three of us headed to Subways so that we could buy some dinner. Ryuk was also there buying subways and someone caught a pic of that. Of course, I had to take a pic with my subway order a well. Mine was a bit different...I posed with the baseball endorsing dunkin donuts coffee (since Subways and Dunkin Donuts was together.) ^.^ Tomoyo-hime loves her carbs!

I took a shower before eating. By the time I was out of the shower, X appeared to pick up his dinner. (He ordered a BLT...and the worker in Subway actually asked me if I wanted lettace and tomatos on my BLT.... I actually said no before catching myself. ^^;) X presented me with the best picture ever: the Soubi and Ritsuka fanart from the artist alley. Kawaii! *hugs pic*

While munching on our subs, we watched the end of Bleach and caught the entirety Inuyasha ep. 15 "Return of the Tragic Priestess, Kikyo". *cries for Kikyo* Afterwards was Death Note ep. 35 "Malice" which was very close to the end of the series. The next episode of Inuyasha, "Mystical Hand of the Amorous Monk, Miroku" was on which features the moment of Miroku groping Kagmoe. ^^; lol After anime was sleep.
