Day 3: Sunday, March 25 - Black Kimono

Sunday service (I-Con)

Two of my church friends slept over my house the night before and came with me to the service that was held by Caitlin and Vic. At first, we had some trouble getting into the building, but we were discovered by someone who knew where we were going and led us in. ^.^ After the keyboard was brought from the staff room, we plugged it in and started singing. We sang 'Draw Me Close to You,' 'How Great Thou Art,' 'Awesome God,' and some others. Vic and than Caitlin gave a short sharing. We prayed and than ended the service. Saying it was very nice was an understatement...but we'll leave that for later.

After the service, I gave both Vic and Caitlin a box of pocky each, stating, 'I know it's too early for pocky, but perhaps you'll have it later....' ^.^ I also burned Caitlin the entire 50 episodes of PGSM along with the dvd extras. (Perhaps I'll burn Episode Zero and the other extras for her next time. ^-^) Of course, before I gave them to her, I asked if she had a copy already, which she didn't. When I gave her the dvds, she was thrilled. *grins*

Anime Square: Star Wars vs. FMA

The game 'Anime Squares' started last year at I-Con and I was happy they brought it back this year. It works like 'Hollywood Squares' (and I had to ask someone since I had no idea. ^^;) A bunch of VAs in the front (with a contestant from the audience) are asked trivia questions and two audience members either agree or disagree with what the VAs. If the chosen audience member is correct, they get the X or O in the box (depending on whether they are X or O to begin with.) I'm not that good at explaining...but you get the idea.... ^^;

The trivia is of course about Japanime and otaku-ness. There were questions like 'What does the 'Endless Waltz' in Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz refer to?' There were choices like 'A) The cycle of photosynthesis. B) The cycle of history.....' Another question I liked was 'What is a fanboy's worse enemy? A) Fangirls B) Soap....' ^.^

Chaos ensued when one of the chosen audience member to be X or O was a cosplaying Miltary Ed Elric with a sign on her back that stated 'Even the smallest military uniform is to big for Edward Elric.' (Why diss her own character...I have no idea. ^^;) Vic was like 'How cute...huh?' *pounds cosplayer* ^^; Throughout the round, it was Vic trying to side with the X contestant, going against the O, who was Military Ed. ^^;

First of all, both Caitlin and Vic were wearing sunglasses throughout the entire game. (To look cool...posing with sunglasses for pics and stuff. ^-^)

Than, we had some 'animosity' between Vic and Military Ed.... During a Golden Boy question for Vic, Military Ed got one of her friends to throw her their sunglasses and she placed it on. Vic was 'shocked' and than pulled on Caitlin's glasses as well.

Soon, everyone (VA and audience) was giving both parties glasses, hats, plushies and even a light sabor (for Vic.) We ended up with:

Yes, that is a pokeball on the table. ^^; Ano, Military Ed started pounding the Ed plushie onto the table and twisting the head.... X.X Of course, Vic wouldn't stand for it. ^^; Going back to the question, Vic thought at first that it was suppose to be the guy's question, not Military Ed's. (Vic wasn't happy when he found out.) At the end, she got it correct. But the game wasn't over yet! At the last question, the guy (Military Ed's opponent) got to answer. Vic took out the light sabor and waited over Ed....

Needless to say, when the guy got the answer correct and won the game, Vic stabbed Military Ed many, many times. ^.^ Of course, Vic gave her a hug afterwards and pictures were taken. The next and last round of the game was between two FMA characters...though I still don't know if it was Ed vs. Al, Ed vs. Ed, or Al vs. Al.... ^^;

This round of the game was alot calmer, and Vic got to hold on to the light sabor. ^.^

10 minutes of FMA panel

After the game, was the last panel of the convention for me. *sniff* (And I couldn't stay the entire time since I needed to catch my ride for church.) It was FMA panel with Vic and Caitlin. I couldn't catch many of the questions, but enjoyed myself fully...even if it was only a few minutes. ^.^
